force and tactile sensors

Have you ever played with a robot?? The robots are truly wonderful creations that can do everything, from an exact prototype of a job to locomotion without even intervention. They have been in existence for decades and served as a key element in assisting individuals from factories, hospitals to homes. Now, with more developments in technology rising by the day, we have robots that can do so much more than be able to move. This is due to built-in αντίσταση δύναμης through which they can actually sense what goes on around them.

Force and tactile sensors are important since you do want to make robots interact with people. These are sensors that feel how something touches to the robot. For instance, if a robot touches something it might feel the pressure — letting the staff there know how hard an object is pushing against them. This function allows the robot to move carefully, so that it does not inadvertently damage object or itself. It is almost as though when you touch something fragile, there is immediate intention to be careful because it may break.

Enhancing Human-Robot Interactions with Force and Tactile Sensors

We use not only hand gestures but also touch when commutatging with robots. These touches are detected by force as tactile sensors from which the robots can feel and thus interpret our actions. The capability to detect signals is very crucial when you dont want your robots(or we) bumping into components in sensitive places, such as Operating theaters within hospitals. This requires robots to be careful and exact when it comes executing tasks.

One of the key skills for a robot to have is moving around carefully. If they want to drive or get from place A to B,It should be able yo avoid obstacles and navigate around its environment without hitting them. Force and tactile sensors assist robots with situational awareness, which in simpler terms means that it enables a robot to know what is around them ( sometimes even predicting). These sensors can detect if the robot moves on a hill, slope or flat ground. The Mishimoto fans also come with a sensor to detect if something is in the way of the fan (in front or behind). This information is used by the robot to come up a safe path for it, that would not see him stuck on in an accident.
